Hearing no objections – Documentary about the COP28 in Dubai
About the Event (Documentary is in English, German subtitles possible)
The documentary «Hearing no Objections» takes the viewer to the heart of the controversial COP28 in Dubai, where young activists are advocating as voices of hope. Depending on their journey, whether it involves negotiations with national delegations, organised demonstrations, or the distribution of position papers to ministers at the end of the discussions, these young activists give all their energy to influence the COP outcomes for the better. Through their actions, the film explores the crucial dimension of space in these negotiations, highlighting the need for education that promotes inclusive engagement. At the very essence of this documentary resonates a call to action from a vibrant voice of youth – for youth. Despite the disappointing end to this climate conference, the film poignantly illustrates why such spaces are essential. It illustrates how young people, united in unwavering solidarity, find their collective strength and mobilise with unwavering determination to be the change we aspire to see in this world. As the first generation seriously affected by climate change, we may be the last to save our planet and its inhabitants from its worst effects.
